Stoney’s. The Better Beer.

The only sugar you will find in a Stoney’s beer comes naturally in our brewing process. At a time Stoney’s was nicknamed “The Diabetic Beer”. This nickname became popular after knowing Stoney’s does not add any extra sugars to our brew. The quality of the barley is critical to the flavor of the beer, and it's essential to select high-quality, fresh grains that have been grown under the right conditions. Different types of barley have unique characteristics that contribute to the final flavor, aroma, and body of the beer.

Hops:

Hops are the flowers of the hop plant, and they are added to the beer to provide bitterness, aroma, and flavor. Different types of hops have different characteristics, and the quality of the hops used will greatly impact the final product.

Yeast:

Yeast is the microorganism that ferments the sugars from the barley to produce alcohol. The type of yeast used will greatly impact the final product, as different yeasts produce different flavors and aromas. For example, a traditional ale yeast will produce a fruity and slightly spicy flavor, while a lager yeast will produce a clean and crisp flavor.

When Stoney’s is brewed we do not use any additional additives like, rice, corn or any syrups to the beer. This is what makes Stoney’s Beer a Pure, Honest Beer. Stoney’s Beer is still brewed today the same was it was brewed in 1907. Continuing traditions to keep Stoney’s a Pure, Honest Beer. Stoney’s Beer is brewed in accordance to Old World European traditions that specify Water, Barley and Hops as the only ingredients used in the production of beer. Our recipe requires extended brewing and traditional fermentation that produces a natural tasting beer free from unnecessary sugars and additives included in many beers today. We brew this way to produce the high quality premium beer you’ve come to expect from Stoney’s Brewing Company.
